As an experienced private college counselor, Kendra provides personalized advice that will help each student shine bright during the application process.

For over ten years, she has worked in advising and college guidance roles at private high schools and highly selective universities like Northeastern and Boston University. She currently works at a private high school as the Director of College Guidance. 

 

As a former application reader, Kendra has read thousands of personal statements and has marked hundreds of students for scholarships. As a result, she knows what can help a student sincerely stand out in a pool of equally qualified applicants.

Kendra specializes in helping students craft their personal statements and applications in a way that avoids clichés and helps convey who they are. Additionally, she takes the time to really get to know each student and family to ensure that we find great colleges that will be a good fit personally, academically, and financially. 

 

Bright Admit is the culmination of years of experience and educational training. While Kendra was working on her doctorate, she was the Assistant Dean & Director of Academic Advising at Northeastern University.

 

Kendra's doctoral research examined the relationship between advising and a students' decision to apply to programs beyond their initial expectations of themselves. She holds the following degrees:

Originally from California, Kendra lives in Medfield, MA, with her husband, rambunctious toddler, and French bulldog named Chalupa.
